Nanny

Looking for part-time nanny for help with our 2.5 year old and 4 month old. I am currently on mat leave till spring 2025 (partner works from home) and we need help Looking for someone short or long term to start as early as mid April but we have flexibility with the right fit.

We are a Canadian/American family new to Stratford by way of Toronto and San Francisco. We are looking for someone to help us with meal prep, playtime, outings, light housework and would be comfortable attending things like EarlyON, parks, library, etc. Somedays I may need you to those with me or stay home with one (or both) girls.

Our 4 month old is a surprisingly chill baby. She is breast-fed and wears cloth diapers. I likely won't need as much help with her but would like someone who is comfortable with infants and toddlers. Our 2.5 year old is very curious and is usually sweet with the baby but we have to keep our eyes on her. She's at the stage where she is starting to push boundaries but understands safety concerns. She loves play-doh, arts and crafts, reading and helping with housework/food prep. We do allow some tv but are mindful about the types of shows available (Daniel Tiger, Sesame Street, Bluey). We are a plant-based family but we do not expect you to be the same. We travel back to the states to visit family regularly but hope to use this summer to explore more of Stratford and surrounding areas.

We are looking for the right fit, part-time (roughly 10-20 hours a week, flexible), Monday, Wed-Friday (flexible on hours/times as well). We need someone comfortable working in our home with us as well as taking the girls out for walks to the park, to community classes, and places like the library. We expect you to be certified in first aid and CPR. While we are not strictly following any one philosophy when it comes to parenting, we would love if your child rearing philosophies include ideas in Montessori/nature schooling.
